There is a common misconception that to be strong is to stuff our feelings and keep going focusing on other things. When we do that, our feelings seep into other areas of our lives. It is difficult to feel, therefore it takes strength to sit with our feelings, work through them and to accept them. When we deal with our feelings, we can move forward being more present. When we allow ourselves to be where we are, we allow ourselves to heal and then to move beyond that space into growth.
